Mrs. Cooper moved from the western shore of Maryland to Wicomico County when she was 4 years old and has been here ever since! She was valedictorian of her high school graduating class at Mardela Middle and High School (was Mardela High School at the time). Staying close to home, she graduated from Salisbury State College (Salisbury University now) with a Bachelors of Science degree in secondary education in mathematics and psychology, and has taken administration courses at Wilmington College. Having done her student teaching at Parkside High School, she was hired to teach math there and taught there for several years before coming to Mardela. She then taught algebra for MANY years at MMHS before becoming the Dean of Students here. She is married, lives in Delmar, and is an extremely proud and happy mom and grammy.
