Mr. Harris is excited to continue his tenure as Principal of FPS for the 2017-18 school year. He joins 500 students and 65 staff in what is certain to be a banner year of student success. Mr. Harris completed his undergraduate work in Elementary Education at York College of Pennsylvania, before beginning his teaching career in Charles County, MD. Upon returning to the Eastern Shore, he earned his M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Salisbury University. He has taught grades K-5 and served as Assistant Principal at North Salisbury, West Salisbury and Pinehurst Elementary Schools. Through his commitment to building school and community partnerships, Mr. Harris has earned a Lifetime Honorary Membership to the National PTA and is a recipient of the Kravitz Award for volunteerism. Outside of school, Mr. Harris enjoys spending time with his family on the sideline at soccer, baseball, field hockey or even dance events.

I am excited to be joining the North Salisbury team! I am originally from New York, and moved here over 30 years ago. I am a graduate of Parkside High School, and then went on to receive my bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Maryland Eastern Shore, followed by a degree in Elementary Education from Salisbury University. I then returned to Salisbury University to receive my Master's degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. I began my teaching career at Beaver Run Elementary as a kindergarten teacher. I then taught 3rd grade at Pittsville Elementary and Middle School. Most recently I have worked as the Assistant Principal at Fruitland Intermediate School.
I currently live in Willards with my husband and two children, who are in 3rd and 6th grade at Willards Elementary and Pittsville Elementary and Middle. As a family, we enjoy traveling together, spending time on our boat whenever we can, and playing with our 3 dogs. I am looking forward to getting to know the students and families of North Salisbury School.
